What better way to take in the gorgeous scenery at La Jolla Cove than to enjoy some fine dining while supporting a great cause and mingling with celebrities and professional athletes? Taste at the Cove is returning tonight, August 31 for its 10th year and is sure to glam up the picture perfect scenery at one of San Diego’s finest oceanfront spots.
This special event will allow patrons to sample complimentary food from over 30 San Diego restaurants, enjoy various hosted bars, and view a New York Style lingerie show. Celebrity guests set to attend include Junior Seau, ESPN’s Marcellus Wiley, Kipton and Tenley from The Bachelor, as well as various Chargers and Padres players. Former San Diego Padres relief pitcher, Trevor Hoffman, will also be in attendance, as he will be recognized for his contributions to our community as this year’s community legend honoree.
Taste at the Cove is an annual fundraiser to benefit the San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation, which provides a medical safety net for injured youth without the financial stability to seek the necessary treatment to return to sports and life in general. The foundation raises $250,000+ a year and has already provided over 100 MRIs and 50 surgeries to children and teens.
The fun will begin at 5pm at Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove and will run until approximately 9pm. The fashion show begins at 6pm so be sure to grab your tastes and treats and take your seats to observe all of the fabulous tends. If you cannot attend the fundraiser, you can still aid in the cause by submitting donations to the foundation.
