We all have our own sacred spots when it comes to favorite food and drink. We cling to the local joint that makes us feel at home and doesn’t judge us for knowing exactly what we want without even cracking open the menu. In fact, the only thing better than one of these precious places is a combo of two, taking care of our beverage and culinary needs all in one go. For many, this perfect marriage is found in South Park.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21st at 6pm, beer and food enthusiasts are invited to embrace the union of two celebrated spots in South Park: Alchemy and Hamilton’s Tavern.
At The Barrel and The Beast, curious diners will be rewarded with a unique pairing of the finer things in life— beer and meat. At $75 per person, guests will be served five barrel-aged beers hand-selected by Hamilton’s Tavern’s Scot Blair, paired with a four-course feast from Alchemy’s Chef Ricardo Heredia. The spread will feature a menagerie of smoky flavors derived from pig, head to hoof, finishing with a special mead aperitif. The beer is above the ordinary, with a barrel-aged punch and deep flavors of warm oak, vanilla, smoke, caramel and apple wood. This private dinner is served once each quarter at Alchemy.
About Alchemy: This restaurant and bar prides itself on sustainability and sophistication. Foodies line up to taste Chef Heredia’s menu and partake in special events, such as the popular Dinner With 6 Strangers.
About Hamilton’s Tavern: This chill neighborhood alehouse is known to serve the highest quality craft brews.
