Last night got a little wild. Ok, wild is an understatement…shit got a little loco. You woke up in a manmade fort of pillows in some random’s living room next to an empty bag of Taco Bell, your fifth iPhone conveniently went MIA and you somehow managed to acquire a pair of giraffe slippers. Don’t fret my pet, there is a solution to every problem in life.
It’s time to nurse that hangover with some good ole’ comfort food and a little hair of the dog. Keep that cocktail dress and those cutesy animal loafers on your paws, walk off that shame, and head over to Quality Social for a morning (err, more like mid-afternoon) meal.
Starting Saturday, September 25th, Quality Social will be serving up brunch every weekend from 11am-3pm. Quality Social’s rockstar Executive Chef Jared Van Camp has expanded his award-winning blue-collar comfort concept by introducing a bad-ass brunch, alongside a morning mixology program by Ian Ward, SD's buzz-worthy "it" boy behind the bevs at Whisknladle and Searsucker. Now that is a damn good reason to get outta bed!
There's plenty of down-home-goodness to go around with hangover helpers such as homemade smoked sausage and cornmeal-bacon waffles as well as masrscapone-stuffed Brioche French Toast with market berries and custard sauce; the BLT Benedict with confit pork belly, local greens, poached farm egg and tomato hollandaise; the Grilled Sausage & Cornmeal Bacon Waffles with maple syrup (pictured); or the Cornmeal Pancakes served with stone fruit preserves and crème fraiche.
If you’re not hungover and are looking to go down the semi-healthier route, opt for the Housemade Granola served with greek yogurt, fresh & dried fruit, honey and almonds; the Frittata with pepperonata, potatoes, and pickled red onions; or the Chilaquiles Verde with smoked niman ranch pork shoulder, jalapenos, tortilla chips, lime and sour cream. Ok, so the last two really aren’t that healthy, but they sound pretty damn tasty so I just had to mention them.
Obviously, a trip to QS just isn’t the same without a quality bev. Get your gulp on with the "Bloody Caesar" - an innovative spin on the classic morning cocktail. Made with house clamato (reduction of clams, shrimp, oyster, moire poix, tomato, and herbs) and vodka, the drink is bound to be the morning equivalent to the revered Pickle Back. Other tasty hangover helpers include "No Hay Huevos,” a mix of mezcal, fresh pressed espresso and cherry liqueur, and the "Class Monkey,” the QS take on a Brass Monkey, made of passion fruit cooked down in chamomile tea and combined with Mickey’s beer.
That’s right people, your weekend hangover has never looked so good until now. I take that back, hangovers will never actually look good, but at least you can rest assured that Quality Social will make your life feel fantastic.
Insider Tip: Did you know that Quality Social recently launched an all-new Dive Bar Bottle Service? That's right, no more douchey, high-priced, high-style dress codes and $300 bottles of Captain Morgan. If you're a broke ass like me, this is the kind of quality service you can actually afford.
