San Diego has the pleasure of being home to a great many wonderful seafood restaurants, but the diversity of the Fish Markets offers something for everyone, regardless of budget, time, or locale.
The Original:
The Fish Market has been a San Diego legend since 1989. The Downtown Market has an enviable position on the harbor, and offers a casual dining environment with an oyster bar, cocktail bar, and sushi bar. Cozy up and order the cioppino to share.
When You’re in North County:
Visit the Del Mar Fish Market when you’re in the area. With the Del Mar Racetrack as its prominent neighbor, this Fish Market attracts a crowd to its popular oyster bar and comfortable, inviting cocktail bar.
When You’re On a Budget or Timeline:
Mission Valley’s Little Fish Market has the same quality as its parent restaurants, but with much cheaper prices and faster service. You can still find the mouth-watering garlic cheesy bread here, along with a wide selection of fresh tuna sandwiches, sushi, and shrimp salads. It’s a great choice when you’re craving Fish Market quality, but are lacking on funds or time.
When You Need to Impress:
First date, important business meeting, or when you’re simply craving quality, ascend the stairs just outside the
Downtown Fish Market’s entrance, and you’ll be transported to another kind of restaurant all together. Crisp white linens, clinking wine glasses, and views of
Coronado and
Point Loma converge to create a memorable
San Diego fine dining experience.
