Forget flannel. In fact, forget everything you thought you knew about moose, mountain men and Mama's homemade vittles. The creators of Hash House A Go Go have blessed Hillcrest with The Tractor Room another gourmet delight that is more delicious - and weird - than your wildest dreams.
The Tractor Room, shacking up on 5th Avenue near Pennsylvania, is a strange, classy breed: think hunting lodge meets speakeasy. Dark brown velvet, heavily stained wood, and an assortment of antler chandeliers create an eclectic vibe that is both intriguing and electric. Stuffed deer heads adorn the walls above neon rows of incredibly artistic, hand-made cocktails circling the room on trays and tables.
It won't take long to settle into this extraordinary locale - especially when you have a look at the menu. The Tractor Room is, in short, is a carnivore's dream come true. With huge portions like those at the Hash House, your stomach literally expands upon entering. With buffalo quesadillas, wild board stew, elk ravioli, and venison meatloaf as options, how can you choose just one?
Be sure to check out the brunch menu, too. The Raspberry Macadamia Nut Pancakes and Elk Sausage Hash are two popular breakfast skillets, along with an extensive list of breakfast martinis, bellinis, and the ever-popular signature Bloody Mary, complete with a stick of buffalo jerky.
Insider Details: Like the portions, style, and variety at Hash House A Go Go, but can't stand the brunch rush or extremely loud music? The Tractor Room promises a totally different atmosphere, but with reliable flavor.
