Ring in the New Year with JRDN at Tower23

This New Year’s Eve, Tower23 is making the elegance so much more extravagant, with a lounge party and hotel deals to draw in guests, from out of town travelers to locals looking for a little respite.

Eat: Executive Chef David Warner is cooking up JRDN Restaurant’s full a la carte menu for New Year’s Eve, with some specialty holiday additions. Dinner will be served from 5-10pm on December 31st, and anyone dining in the restaurant will receive free cover charge with dinner.

The JRDN dinner menu is full of winter treats and dishes for all appetites, ranging from raw and cold starters to boiling hot beefs. With hand-selected all-natural meats, fine seafood, and organic and locally grown produce, guests will have access to healthy and fresh dinner options heading into the new year. On the Raw Menu is a Grande Platter of 12 Oysters, Chilled Maine Lobster, and Hamachi Sashimi. The Way Cool options feature the Lolla Rossa Salad, with sliced apples, caramelized goat cheese, marcona almonds, pomegranate, and a honey vinaigrette. Getting Warm dishes include Steamed Mussels, made with chorizo, garlic, chardonnay and herb butter; and the Spiced Parsnip Soup with pumpkin seed oil and chervil. Pure Sizzle menu options include Seared Scallops, Roasted Venison Loin, and a Miso Glazed Black Cod.  Finally, in the Burning Up selections, choose from a range of steaks, lobster, and beef cuts.

Drink: New Year's Eve at JRDN will offer a swanky party scene for those looking for upscale attitudes while still celebrating in Pacific Beach. The party taking place in the oceanfront lounge will get going with a hosted Ultimat Vodka cocktail hour from 8-9pm. With smooth beats and mood-setting music, DJ Smoke and Professor Stone will run the turntables from 9pm-12am. Tickets are $25 pre-sale and $35 at the door. Sleep: For those looking to stay at the Tower23 over the New Year’s holiday, or at least have somewhere to rest their head after all the revelry downstairs, the hotel is offering a special New Year’s Eve package.
