**2011 Fashion's Night Out was canceled due to the SoCal blackout**
The unfortunate end of the summer season means the rise of fall fashion is finally upon us. In a forever-warm city like San Diego you never have to store your vibrant swimsuits and whimsical frocks away for too long; however, that doesn’t mean we can’t play along with the rest of the industry in embracing fabulous coats, thigh-high boats, and the latest must-have looks hot off the runway.
I could happily flip through Vogue’s fall fashion spread for hours, soaking in the season’s new styles and brainstorming ways to translate the runway into everyday. No complaints. But, I must admit there is something so inspiring about seeing fashion come alive right before your eyes. San Diego’s go-to mall for premium designer shopping, Fashion Valley is gearing up to host the ultimate fall fashion event.
Taking the new season’s trends off the racks and onto the runway, Fashion Valley will host Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, September 8. This free event is part of a national series that tours over 100 cities nationwide in celebration of fall fashion. Fashion’s Night Out will treat us to a runway fashion show, featuring a variety of participating retailers showcasing new wearable looks for him and her, including Francesca's, Max Studio, Cache, Betsey Johnson, Custo Barcelona, Karen Millen, and White House I Black Market. After the fashion show, guests will enjoy cocktails, light bites, swag bags, live mannequin modeling, and in-store discounts and promotions throughout the mall. Fashion Valley is home to over 200 stores and restaurants, including Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Max Studio, James Perse, H&M, American Apparel and more.
Fashion’s Night Out is coming to Fashion Valley on Thursday, September 8 from 6 to 10pm. Catch the free runway show from 6:30 to 7pm, and pick up your swag bag at 8:30pm. The event is free and open to all. Get details here.
