All Things Royale Del Mar Opening Day Prep Soiree: July 14

I haven’t missed Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack in years, and let me tell you, every single year it’s the same. I just never learn. 

Due to a hectic work and social schedule, I wait until a mere day before the festivities to prepare my Opening Day look, and end up driving all over town on the prowl for the perfect hat and dress, only to end up paying triple what I would have if I had planned my style search in advance. Shopping is supposed to be fun, and this annual routine is definitely nowhere near enjoyable. 

Speaking from high-mileage experience, I highly recommend that you never miss Opening Day at Del Mar and more importantly, that you do not miss the Opening Day Prep Shopping Benefit on Wednesday, July 14th outside at Arterra Lounge at the Del Mar Marriott.

The All Things Royale Del Mar Opening Prep Soiree on Wednesday, July 14 from 6 – 9pm is a free evening shopping event that will feature over 19 different vendors with hats, dresses, suits, accessories, swimwear and more for guys and girls. In addition to finding your perfect wardrobe for Opening Day and the entirety of Del Mar Racing season, guests will enjoy a host of free perks, mingle with celebrities, drink an open tequila bar followed by happy hour specials, and benefit a great cause through a prize-packed opportunity drawing. All Things Royale is the ultimate prep soiree for all your Del Mar style and beauty desires. 

Shop: In addition to North County boutiques, All Things Royale will showcase an incredible lineup of vendors, including: Moderne – shopmoderne.com online boutique, House of Plum online boutique, Liz Larios Jewelry, N.Om Jewelry, Kiss Me Jewelry, Chic 2 Chic Jewelry, Ohana Creations, The Fumi headbands, Drinks at the Plaza hats (pictured), and Sandy Candy bikinis.

Pamper: While you shop around the poolside lounge, treat yourself to some must-try beauty perks, including free hair styling by Diesel Salon, free brow threading by Brazilia Skin Care, free makeovers and wardrobe styling by The Winning Look, and free manicures by Beachy Toes – a new nail salon opening this summer in Solana Beach.

Mingle: Kiptyn Locke, San Diego’s own reality TV star made famous from Season 5 of “The Bachelorette” on ABC, is the official local celebrity host of All Things Royale. Kiptyn is about to star in an all new reality show competition, “Bachelor Pad” – which airs August, 2010. While you shop for your Del Mar duds, take some time to get to know Kiptyn – the guy every girl wants to meet and every guy wants to be. This event is especially important to Kiptyn as he is a representative of the opportunity drawing’s designated charity, Cancer Angels of San Diego.
