Last week I guided Insiders through a graceful 44K shopping spree at Fashion Valley Mall.

True locals will tell you, before the Fashion Valley hype, the must-hit San Diego shopping destination was Westfield UTC La Jolla. So this week I will instruct the well-to-do shopper on dropping a (more) reasonable amount of money at UTC. From new upscale shops to the picturesque setting, spending $4,327 at UTC is a walk on the beach.

Guess: Every man that enjoys a night out needs a modern blazer that walks the line between trendy wannabe and out-of-date divorce. Fortunately, Guess has the Duran Blazer. The contemporary cut, lack of flashy graphics and stylish texture combined with the hint of satin on the lapel and pockets is the perfect outerwear for a hip date or club outing. $148 (pictured)

Coach: Finding a shoulder bag that can incorporate quality and discretion with on-point trends can be quite the task. That is why I am so excited about the Madison metallic leather sac in rose gold at Coach. $598

Anthropologie: Orange can be a tricky tint to pull off, but for those with the coloring and confidence, the Final Note Dress is a must-own piece. The combination of the sweetheart neckline and lustrous taffeta will wow everyone at your next dinner party. Sunglass Hut: Summer means glaring sun, so men need to look into Prada’s new classic metal "aviator" style shades with drop-shaped lenses and double-bridge. $290

Banana Republic: The BR makes an incredible chino suit, perfect for dressy summer events and standing out in a crowd of black. The stone two-button suit is also fabulous to use as separates. $380

Ben Bridge Jeweler: Besides the fact that gold is more reliable than the dollar bill, gold is gorgeous! Ben Bridge’s Toscano collection ring in 18k yellow gold is fabulously in vogue and works for day and night with its bold presence and concave style stain finish. Diamonds are terrific, but a giant gold ring is more now. $695 (pictured below)
