If you automatically assume JEP's immediate success sprouted from the owner's arduous education and experience in design and fashion—guess again. JEP Boutique's couture crowning is the result the fashion-centric mindset of one Texas-native who rethought employment endeavors at just the right moment.

Elise Purcell, owner of JEP Boutique, was born in Dallas, Texas and traveled north east at the age of 18 to attend college at Kansas University. An internship with Neiman Marcus couture brought her to Southern California to pursue fashion as a hobby while earning her Masters in Education. While working in the retail industry and engaging with fashion on an intimate level, Elise decided to take a risk and turn her personal passion into a career.

In July of 2003, Elise Purcell realized her dream and opened JEP Boutique, named after her parent's initials. Although Elise had never studied fashion or owned a boutique, her risky experiment translated into a thriving business, loved and appreciated by the couture elite in San Diego and nationwide.

Combining upscale and unique art, music, and fashion, Elise creates a boutique atmosphere to reflect her vision and represent her humble roots. Elise selects style and décor for JEP Boutique with a bold and genuine ardor noticed by all.

JEP Boutique's abundant offering includes selective female designs by L.A.M.B, Tart, Lauren Moffatt, Ella Moss, and Serafontaine. Men's fashions by Trovata, Kasil, Nudie,and John Varatos also adorn JEP's racks. In addition to upscale clothing, JEP features designer jewelry, accessories and scents by Me & Ro, Vestal, and Votivo, respectively.
