LF La Jolla Boutique

Published : 1/29/2008 by Jenny Herman

With stores throughout Los Angeles, SoHo, the Hamptons, and on Newbury Street in Boston, San Diego is lucky to be graced with an LF Store situated right on Girard Avenue in downtown La Jolla.

This trendy fashion boutique not only has a long list of celebrity clientele, but us "regular" people can enjoy can enjoy the eclectic racks stocked with up and coming European and domestic designers rarely found in the United States.

LF La Jolla is packed with clothes in no particular order, but it's somehow easy to find exactly what you are looking for. A complete La Jolla fashion experience, there is a sea of clothes in every color and style imaginable merchandised to resemble a closet, so you feel right at home. In addition to their own brand designed in Los Angeles and Europe, LF Store also features jeans by Furst Premium Denim and Era of Chaos, tops and basics by Emma & Sam and shoes by Jeffrey Campbell, 80%20, Naughty Monkey, and Irregular Choice. We also can't forget about the jewelry by Stacy Sterling, Zachary Pryor, and Adia Kibur as well as such accessories as Raj scarves, Streets Ahead belts, Honeydew intimates, and colorful leggings and tights galore.

LF does more than just sell amazing clothes and accessories; the stores work with local and national groups to help benefit their communities and chosen charities. Since 2005, one of their biggest partnerships has been with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. LF Stores have helped raise funds and awareness in the fight for the cure. Currently, 100% of the proceeds from their 'Power of Now' tee go to this foundation.

Insider tip: For those of us who can't afford the normal prices, look forward to their end of the season sales where much of the store is 60% off.

L.F. Stores love to Scam Consumers

LF Stores loves to scam consumers claiming that they carry up and coming european and domestic designers; I used to work for L.F. when they were called L.F. Sportswear and carried the ladel CLIO which was sold to May Dept. Stores, and Federated Stores. The so called "up and coming European and Domestic" designers are the names of their daughters, take for example "Emma & Sam" those are Laurie's and Marsha's Furts youngest daughters. and the label "Furst Premium Denim" named after Laurie Furst who is a business man NOT a designer. by the way, L.F. Sportswear was involved in the huge scandal of 1995 of the South El Monte child labor sweatshop.

LF is cheap quality and a scam

I also use to work at LF. We were pushed to sell the denim because they MAKE all of their denim for $10 and sell for $200. Every item of clothing falls apart. Employees wear the clothes and put them back on the self at the end of the day. Damaged clothes get sent to the warehouse to get fixed and then end up back in the store. You can find any of the fabric for the shirts in LF at Forever 21...showing the brands are NOT European brands. The shoes can all be found cheaper at Nordstroms. All of the jewelry breaks and/or loses its gold or silver plated color the second time you wear it. The basic shirts are made for less than $5.00 and are marked up to $50-90. Everything is a scam at LF. Everything in there is such bad quality...my clothes from urban and forever21 are better.
