Meet Tracy Duhs – the fashionable woman in charge of your beauty needs at The Sanctuary. From her knack for new discovering new skin care trends to her celebrity fashion icons, personal style and where she shops in San Diego, get to know Tracy in this week’s Local Style Spotlight.

DiscoverSD: Tell us about your role at The Sanctuary, and your involvement in the health and beauty industry?

Tracy: I manage the spa, specializing in making each and every customer feel like they are the most important person in the world.

I’m in charge of all of the purchasing and this job suits me well. My husband always said I was the best shopper in San Diego LOL. No really, I love finding unique and amazing nuggets and bringing them into The Sanctuary. I love scouring the world for the very best in skin care, make-up and boutique gifts.

I have a passion for art and practice art in makeovers and educating my clients with fun make-up tips that really enhance their greatest assets and diminish their greatest concerns.

DSD: Outside of work, where can we find you in San Diego?

T: I love eclectic shops and hunting for unique antique finds in North Park and Ocean Beach. I’ll eat sushi any night of the week and the freshest is always Sushi Ota. I just found this great lunch spot in La Jolla called Lean and Green.

DSD: In 3 words, describe your personal style.

T: Color, accessorize, fun.

DSD: Who are your celebrity fashion icons?

T: By far, my celebrity fashion icons are Kate Moss and Gwen Stafani. I love their style because it’s edgy, fun and sexy all at the same time, and most of all they are not afraid to start their own trends.

DSD: A San Diego health expert, what is your favorite outfit for a day of fitness?

T: My favorite workout gear is always Lululemon Athletica. It’s sexy and comfy and it works.

DSD: Also a local beauty expert, when it’s time to go glam, what is your go-to outfit for a night out on the town?

T: My favorite go to outfit is a lemon yellow Alice and Olivia dress with a pair of silver Jimmy Choo stilettos. (pictured)

DSD: Where do you shop in San Diego?

T: My favorite boutique shop is Kate Ross in North Park. Kate keeps me fashionable.

I also love to shop at the local People’s Market in Ocean Beach, which I walk to at least 3 times a week. Our farmers’ market in OB is the best, I love picking up all of my fresh produce here.
