Goorin Brothers Hat Shop in San Diego

Goorin Brothers hats have been a tradition for over 116 years; dating back to the days when Cassel Goorin first started selling his artisan creations from the back of his horse cart. Nowadays, the designs are worn by socialites and celebrities alike, with a following that includes names such as Jay-Z, Paris Hilton, and Tom Cruise.

From Boston to Berkley, over a dozen stores have spread throughout the country, and now Goorin Brothers is in San Diego. The new Goorin Brothers boutique is located in the Gaslamp Quarter, and is hosting a grand opening party on May 19th. From 6 to 9pm, locals are invited to shop and get fitted for a custom hat.

The Goorin Look: The inside of the shop takes us back to a time of elegance and simplicity. Three artists from San Francisco contributed to the beautiful murals found on the walls, adding an utterly one-of-a-kind vibe to the interior. Antique mahogany furniture sets an old-timey feel that will aid in providing the customer with a traditional shopping experience. The selection of hats found inside the store is quite extensive. In addition to the more classic styles sold, trendy hats such as fedoras, baseball caps, duckbills, cadets, panamas, flatcaps, and cloches are available for both men and women. And ladies: hats off to you for being privy to the fact that this may be your new number one spot for floppy and straw hats to wear during 2011 Del Mar Racetrack season.
