A new boutique is a special thing.
The undiscovered racks of clothing and décor smelling of fresh paint beckon fashion loving San Diegans to open their hearts, as well as their wallets, for the new kid on the block. For those always on the look-out for the next new thing, we’ve picked out your new must-try fashionable shops.
From huge sales at Eyestructure and Mesh Boutique to the arrival of Westfield Style Tour at UTC La Jolla and cutting-edge evolution at Haven, HIS, Luigi Vera and more, discover what’s new in San Diego shopping.
Eyestructure– La Jolla
Eyestructure presents the 15th Anniversary Inventory Sale October 1 – 31, offering 10 – 70% off all designer frames in stock. This, my friends, is a serious fall shopping sale. Eyestructure is an independently owned luxury eyewear boutique. Details here.
First Annual Denim Month! – Cardiff
Azzaria Denim Lounge has declared October the first annual Denim Month. What does that mean for you? Check the fashion calendar in-store, as each day will include a different premium denim line at 30% off retail price. Popular brands such as AG, Rock and Republic, Hudson, Dylan George, AG and Paige Denim will be available in a multitude of different styles and washes. Denim Lounge will also be hosting a Blue Jean Brunch with mimosas, breakfast nosh, sales and style advice.
Westfield Style Tour – UTC La Jolla
Following this September’s Simon Fashion Now at Fashion Valley, an event that honored fall fashion trends with runway shows, Westfield UTC La Jolla is launching its own style-filled weekend of events. October 16 – 18, UTC welcomes Westfield Style Tour. Presented in partnership with Modelinia, the event will feature entertainment, fashion celebrations and one-on-one shopping consultations with celebrity stylists. Details here.
Stung by Fashion Saturdays – Downtown
Head to Stingaree October 10, 17 and 24 for a fall fashion series showcasing the season’s must-have items in men’s and women’s fashions. Guests will enjoy over $1,000 in weekly give-aways, including a Gucci Handbag, Prada Clutch and a pair of Christian Louboutin Ankle Boots. During the party, try out complimentary master make-up “touch-ups”. Arrive by 9pm to receive 15% off Saks Fifth Avenue. Details here.
Haven Boutique – Downtown
Haven Boutique thrives inside club Voyeur during daylight. A small, but fabulous space filled with local designer goods, Haven is owned by a Colorado native, Deanne Shockey. Mixing her home’s sensibilities with California taste, Deanne is providing San Diegans with an eclectic mix of fashion forward duds and accessories.
Hunt & Gather – University Heights
Replacing Neighbourhood, Hunt & Gather has a certain San Francisco and London vibe that San Diego has been craving. Hunt & Gather provides used, new, vintage and reconstructed clothing for men and women along with accessories and records.
HIS – Solana Beach
A rare thing this is, HIS is only for him. That’s correct, a man boutique is finally here for the Solana Beach gentleman interested in cool classic pieces with mix-uses. For the older guy, HIS carries lines like Ryan Michael, and for younger guys they have AG and William Rast.
Luigi Vera – Hillcrest
Moving from the downtown district, Luigi Vera has opened doors to Hillcrest shoppers with its incredible and cluttered selection of used, vintage and new clothing for men and women. Also in the merchandise are original designs from Luigi Vera himself.
King Kouture – Solana Beach
Another rarity in San Diego, King Kouture is an independent boutique that sells the exclusive label of the owner, Elisabeth King. Described as “wearable but contemporary” the pieces from the collection are made from jersey knit and micro-fiber suede for a beach inspired sexy cool look.
7 For All Mankind – Fashion Valley
Mainstream, but fabulous 7 For All Mankind is now in Fashion Valley. With an industrial mix of jeans, tops and jackets, if you have dough feel free to drop some on denim. (pictured)
Mesh Boutique – North Park
We’re sad to announce Michael Delgado will close the doors on his Mesh Boutique on November 1. The good news is, this edgy boutique will offer 25-50% off entire store through November 1. Whether Mesh will remain under a new owner or a new business will take over the North Park venue is still undecided.
