New Swivel 3D Virtual Dressing Rooms

I have a love-hate relationship with shopping at San Diego malls. Have you ever wished you could try on tons of different looks without having to cram into the stuffy dressing room or grudgingly travel from store to store? With the new cutting-edge technology now available, this dream goes from something we’ve only seen in movies to a true life experience coming to San Diego on September 16.

SWIVEL is the world’s first 3D virtual dressing room, an innovative concept from FaceCake Marketing Technologies that gives shoppers the opportunity to try on a large selection of accessories and clothes from multiple shops found inside Promenade Temecula. Forget the days of three way mirrors, SWIVEL allows guests to see various looks from any angle in a virtual mirror. Curious to see what your outfit is going to look like at that fancy party? The technology also allows shoppers to pick a background scene so they can view their complete outfit in the proper setting.

In addition, SWIVEL is hooked up with various social media sites, allowing guests to snap and send photos of themselves to friends through email, Twitter, and Facebook. This way, you can get feedback on your outfit without your friends or partner having to tag along with you on your shopping expeditions.

In the third stop on its California premiere, SWIVEL will be brought to southern CA residents inside the Promenade Temecula, a shopping center spread across 75 acres and boasting over 175 shops. SWIVEL will be open for exploration on Friday, September 16 from 5 to 9pm, Saturday September 17 from 12 to 3pm and 4 to 9pm, and Sunday, September 18 from 12 to 5pm. At this public debut, shoppers will have an opportunity to virtually try on two exclusive NIKOLAKI red carpet gowns, brought to us by Project Runway contestant Nick Verreos.  As another bonus, product specialists from Charming Charlie will be on deck with live demonstrations on how accessories can take any outfit to the next level. Charming Charlie accessories will be made available through SWIVEL, so shoppers can complement their looks.
