NYLA Kensington Styles Adams Avenue

Published : 1/29/2008 by Jenny Herman

NYLA Kensington, named after the owner's puppy, opened in March of 2005, aptly situated on Adams Avenue in the heart of Kensington.

Owner and entrepreneur, Tanya Champion had a dream to open a store of her own, following in her parents' footsteps. After considering many different options, she finally landed on an idea for a fashion boutique stemming from her love of clothing and accessories.

NYLA carries a wide range of reasonably priced styles from classic to trendy, which is hard to find at most San Diego new boutiques. Tanya's motive behind the amazing prices is that she wants to create a consistent base of long-lasting customers, not just one-time visitors. Through this idea, customers can enjoy their shopping experience and are able to purchase an entire outfit, from fashionable denim and feminine tops to stylish dresses and chic jewelry and accessories.

This petite, neighborhood boutique houses some of the largest brands including Mac & Jac, Kenzie Girl, Lapis, Rampage, Blue Cult denim, Earnest Sewn, Yank, Sele as well as Shae sweaters that are perfect for layering and warm enough for San Diego's winter weather. Also exciting are the recently added MBLEM line by Mandy Moore, the Tummy Tuck Jean by Not Your Daughter's Jeans and MTV's The Hill's Lauren Conrad's new clothing line.

Look forward to new lines to hit the NYLA Kensington racks in 2008 - especially Soundgirl's feminine dresses and tops in February as well as Saint Grace arriving in April.
