The Gap Holds San Diego Malls Together

Published : 5/1/2007 by Kirsten Noelle Hubbard

Since 1969, Gap Inc., has been the top purveyor of simple, straightforward fashion. Although this bold clothing line is best known as “The Gap,” there are no holes or flaws in this business plan (hee hee). Today, there are more than 3,100 Gap Inc. locations worldwide, with over 10 retail stores in the San Diego shopping scene alone.

The Basics: The Gap earned their pop culture credibility through one main material: denim. Thanks to the blue jean gurus behind this brand, the denim bar now serves petite, long and lean, flare, boot-cut, classic fit, tapered, reverse, and maternity—just to name a few. The Gap also caters to every member of the family: men, women, kids, and infants.

But The Gap isn’t just about jeans—shoppers of any age and gender can find casual and business-casual clothes, sleepwear, shoes, and accessories. The Gap’s catchy commercials and consistent local visibility makes it one of the most well-known San Diego mall stores.

My Favorite store in the World

You can never go wrong with Gap! The All-American answer to fashion ruts! I buy the greatest clothes here year round! What impresses me, too, is that there area always all ages in the Gap. Some places appeal to only a certain demographic but at Gap you get men and women, old and young, children, parents, gay and straight, tall and short, wide and thin, etc. That really says something! It's not everyday you can get customers of all those genres inside your store!
