The Greens at UTC: Golf Til You Drop

Bored husbands, rejoice! If your significant other can shop for hours while you are ready to head home halfway through the first store, we have good news for you. Westfield UTC, the premier shopping destination in La Jolla, has installed a permanent 2,500 square foot putting green on the Mezzanine in the Nordstrom wing. Now you can perfect your swing while they shop. Fore!

 

The Greens at UTC boasts 8 holes, is complimentary, and is open during the mall’s shopping hours, except in the event of rain. Golf balls and clubs can be rented with no charge from The Westfield Concierge, as long as you have your valid driver’s license with you, from 11am to 7pm. Speaking of drivers, note that only putters may be used on the green, so leave your irons and drivers at home.

 

This new amenity comes as part of a $180 million Westfield UTC renovation plan, which promises to bring a more “resort-style” feel to the shopping center. More upcoming additions are set to include an incredible fitness center and luxury movie theater, along with plenty of new restaurants and shops.
