Kate Ross. That name has quickly become a staple in the North Park shopping scene. Not only does the boutique make guests comfortable with a friendly, helpful and down to earth staff, but there is always a fresh, diverse selection of clothing and accessories.
Kate herself is a fashion-forward trendsetter, so it's no wonder this modern meets organic boutique has poised itself as the pioneer in North Park's recent transformation. Her collections for both men and women consist of great basics as well as chic, unusual finds for fairly reasonable prices.
Peruse the racks for lines including Brown Sound, Friend or Foe, grn, Ernest Sewn, Joe's Jeans, Talla, Edun, Howe, Kanvis jeans, Testament, Velvet, Loomstate, and 1921. Perfectly displayed throughout the boutique are belts, sunglasses by Dita and bags and wallets by Hobo. The trendy yet timeless jewelry is showcased in amazing glass cases with open sides, making it easy to try everything on.
As if the original boutique was not enough, Kate Ross recently opened a shoe store in conjunction with Kalos Designs right around the corner from her fashion boutique. Still growing, her brands for women include Pour La Victoire, Sam Edelman, Oh...Deer!, FarylRobin, Dolce Vita, Pink Studio and Fry and for men, Ben Sherman, Clarks, and Dekline. Also available are amazing skincare products, stationary and gifts, and plenty of jewelry and accessories for reasonable prices.
Kalos Designs fills the other part of the shoe boutique space with house ware and furniture. Look for furniture designs that are modern with clean lines and may reach outside your comfort zone. Amy Paul, the co-owner's girlfriend, is an amazing artist that occupies an art studio is in the back of the store. Her artwork adorns every cement wall in this urban space and is simple yet very unique.
